Our working hours are by appointment and according to class schedules. We can schedule appointments at any time of the day at your convenience.
Vivienne Byrne is a chartered Physiotherapist and a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) for the last 15 years. She is passionate about health and wellbeing in general and has a special interest in Women’s Health having undertaken further studies in the area.
She also treats all musculoskeletal conditions, particularly being interested in getting to the root of acute and chronic conditions. Having first qualified as a fitness instructor (National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness) she completed a Diploma in Physiology and Health Science from Carlow Institute of Technology, graduating with a distinction, giving her a background in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. She then went on complete her degree in Physiotherapy at Bradford University England. She is also a member of the Irish Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (ISOM).
She is also a qualified Bowen (Neurostructural Integration Technique) practitioner which is a ‘stand alone’ soft tissue therapy recommended for chronic pain and fibromyalgia. Being a qualified Pilates and Yoga teacher she likes to combine elements of Pilates and Yoga in all classes. Vivienne is also an accomplished sportswoman having represented Ireland internationally in soccer.
She is qualified in myofascial, soft tissue, and joint manipulation techniques, dry needling, orthotic prescription, exercise prescription and biomechanics assessment.
Sean graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy and is a Chartered Physiotherapist and a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP).
Sean is passionate about musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the rehabilitation of sports injuries. Sean has a special interest in both adult and adolescent knee pain, having carried out research and presented literature reviews on adolescent knee pain at conferences in Liverpool and Geneva.
Sean gained valuable experience in the UK working as a physiotherapist in a private practise setting where he furthered his clinical development via the McKenzie spinal approach and has a keen interest in treating spinal pain. Sean has worked in Portlaoise where he learned about the Dry Needling technique and the Functional Movement Screen for athletes, whether it’s to assess the risk of injury or intervene and improve performance. Sean has also trained in Clinical Pilates and attended a Shoulder Masterclass by Guru Dr. Jeremy Lewis in 2017. He completed training in orthotic prescription earlier this year also.
Sean has a real passion for physiotherapy and commits to giving the best to his clients, either to the sedentary individual or to the elite athlete, whether it is with pre-screening to prevent injuries or providing them with the best rehabilitation program to get them back to the highest level of functional and physical fitness. Sean is abig believer in providing hands on treatment and manual therapy to fascilitate patient’s recoveries.
Rachel graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BSc in Physiotherapy and is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP).
Rachel has a particular interest in the treatment and management of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. Coming from a sporting background, Rachel understands the importance of returning to activity as quickly as possible and recognizes the importance of effective rehabilitation in this.
Rachel is always looking to further her experience, skills, and knowledge on the most up to date evidence-based treatment techniques to ensure this. To date, she has completed additional courses in Clinical Pilates, Dry Needling, and has also attended a Shoulder masterclass for the treatment of shoulder pain and rotator cuff injuries. Rachel also has an interest in Women’s Health issues and has recently started her training in Core and Pelvic Floor Foundations.
Rachel enjoys working with clients of all abilities and ages, and endeavors to give her best to facilitate a full and speedy recovery. Rachel thoroughly believes in the use of manual therapy in clinic and tries to use a holistic approach to finding the root of the problem.
Vanessa is a fully qualified massage therapist.
Vanessa has experience in a broad range of sports working within the professional sport environment, amateur sport, clinics and events including the international rules series.
Vanessa is also a specialist in Pregnancy Massage and Aroma Touch Therapy.
Margaret graduated in 2007 from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh with a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy and is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Margaret began her Physio career in the Highlands of Scotland where she worked for 10 years, developing her knowledge and skills in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Women’s Health (antenatal, postnatal, continence and pelvic health).
While living in the Highlands she enjoyed the breathtaking landscape through hillwalking, kayaking, biking and camping. When winter set in she took to the hills for a season of skiing. Part of her caseload at work was treating injuries sustained by clients enjoying the same pursuits.
The call of home came following the birth of her first child and she returned to Ireland to settle in the beautiful Royal County Meath and joined the Physio Team at BodyBalance. Weekends are a little different these days with having a young family but getting out and enjoying the fresh air, music and reading are always much enjoyed.
Margaret has completed numerous courses to continue to add the her skills set. She has developed a special interest in Women’s Health and also practises Acupuncture, Fascial therapy and is a Member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. She is passionate about rehabilitation and enjoys making a difference to her patient’s overall well being.
Chen is a fully qualified Pilates, BodySculpt & Barre Instructor.
Chen is a qualified Pilates instructor teaching a variety of classes in our Navan Studio including Mixed Levels, BodySculpt, and Barre Pilates. Chen has been dancing and practising Pilates all her life.
She absolutely adores teaching Pilates especially when seeing the change to the body and the progression her clients achieve.She has a passion for getting clients motivated and she enjoys instructing a challenging session in a relaxed and inviting way. Chen has an Advanced diploma in Pilates Matwork from the National Training Centre, Pilates Institute Ireland at EQF level 4 capacities. She has completed Mat based Pilates- Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Levels and Pilates for Special Populations- Pregnant clients, Older adults, and Post-Natal. She also completed Pilates with Equipment. She hopes to see you on the Mat!
Valerie joined the Bodybalance team in 2016 and plays an important role as our receptionist and liaison between the therapists and clients at our clinic. She has a long history of working in the service industry with the general public.
Valerie prides herself on customer care and understands the importance of client confidentiality. She strives to make the clinic a pleasant environment for the customers and to provide them with any administrative help needed. Should she be unable to deal with your query she will get one of our therapist to contact you directly as soon as possible.
